This little book
A piece of glory
That largely shook
The world.
I'm holding tightly
This precious
Leather bound book.
I'm melting
As I think what took
Our God to come
And give us grace, not wrath,
Our God - to change
The whole planet's face.
I'm holding tightly
Little piece of grace.
I'm melting down,
Resting from my race.
I'm dwelling
In this book of life.
I'm spelling,
Spelling out my strive.
I'm casting out
Sorrows, worldly thoughts.
I'm coming back
To my refreshing
Living waters' source.
Please, hold me tightly,
Little precious book.
Please, guard me well,
My thoughts, my faith, my look.
Please, hold me, Author
Of the life and faith.
Please, guide me calmly
To Your dwelling place.
I'm choosing life.
I'm choosing You,
Not him.
May You released be,
Not the murder or the sin.*
I choose the book of life,
Not news of death.
I choose a righteous path,
Not what my flesh requests.
I chose, I have walked.
I stumbled, dropped the ball.
And I looked up. And You
Helped me endure it all.
I follow, follow You.
My life is in Your palm.
Abiding in Your word,
I praise You with Your psalm...
