Like Jonah

Dear God, I come before You
With humble heart that need Your rest
That needs Your joy and wants Your pleasure
That is my heart's desires' quest. -

A quest for You, for joy in Jesus,
A marathon towards loving hands.
It's my endeavour, my adventure,
The Fire that I can't withstand.

And I give in and let Him burn me,
And I let Him lit me up and shine.
I am not myself's, to Him belonging
I'm following His will devine.

No need to fight with God Almighty. -
You'll just frustrate your whole life.
Like Jonah left the whale's mouth
I'm coming out to live right,

Live by the plan of my Redeemer,
That's burning in and spreads the flame:

"To Him, please, come! To Him, repenting.

Fall in His hands, by Him be changed."
