The war is raging in my book,
That's called a weekly planner.
I'm fighting hours, and days,
And tasks in ugly manner.
I want to crave out the time
For being with Sasha daily.
I want the order and routine.
It seems I keep on failing.
I want to rest, and serve, and live,
With light of Christ be shining.
But things are piling up so fast,
I fall behind, climbing.
At first I do prioritize
The Master of the cosmos*.
Yes, in my weekly planning book
He is the first. I promise.
But when the battle of the day
Is raging on and stronger,
My first priority is last,
The rest are being corroded.
I'm holding strongly to the mast
In stormy days and schedules.
I'm falling on the deck and sleep
To wake up and be ready.
Again I'm learning how to walk
And how to go through pressure.
Again I'm learning how to see
The heart behind the passion.
The war is raging in my book.
I fight, though often losing.
But I cannot just to give it up.
I'll fight and shoot, intruding.
I'll take more land. I will endure.
My General is leading.
My life is orbiting His plan.
To Him it's fully given.
